GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION

Bhilwara is situated between 25°.00' to 27°.50' North Latitude and 74°.03' to75°.25' East Longitude. It is 100 meters above the sea level. It is 260 km.away from Jaipur. Northern Border of the district touches district Ajmer,North-West Border touches district Rajsamand, South & South-East Bordertouches district Chittorgarh and East & East-North Border touches districtBundi & Tonk.

Attractions

·        Badnore Fort  is70 km from Bhilwara on the Bhilwara -Asind road.

·     Pur Udan Chatri is about10 km from Bhilwara city. It is famous for Udan Chatri, Adhar SheelaMahadev where a huge rock is restingon a small one.

·    Kyara ke Balaji has anatural image of Lord Hanuman. It is said that the image spontaneously appearedon the rock. Patola Mahadev Temple,GhataRani Temple, Beeda ke Mataji Temple and Neelkanth Mahadev Temple are nearbyattractions situated on the beautiful hills of the Aravali mountain range.

·        The Madhav GouVigyan Anusandhan Kendra (Madhav Cow Science Research Centre), Village  Gaadarmala (Pur) is a very popular  Gousala.

·       Harni Mahadev: Founded bythe ancestors of the Darak family, a Shivling liesunder the mountain, built into a Shiva temple is 8 km from the city. Itgot the name Harni on the name of village near it, a nice place for people fromthe city for outing as it has hills around. On the occasion of Shiv Ratri athree-day fair is held here. Near this Chamunda mata Mandir is a hill fromwhere one can have a view of whole city. Dadi dham temple is also there on theway.

·        Bagore Sahib is Sh. Guru Govind Singh Ji stayed herewhen he was on journey to Punjab. This historical Gurdwara is situated at adistance of 20 km from town Mandal in Village Bagore of Tehsil Mandal,District Bhilwara, Rajasthan. This holy place has been blessed by the visit ofthe Tenth Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

·        Ramdwara(Pic shown above)  Shahpura is a place of pilgrimage for the followers of the Ram Snehi sect. Founded in 1804 they have a shrine in the town called Ramdwara. The chief priest there is the head of the sect. Pilgrims from all over the worldvisit the shrine throughout the year. Shahpura is well known for Ram Snehi's Ramdwara. There is famous fair called PHOOLDOL MELA. is for 5 days after Holi by Ramdwara Temple
